Antony Cherukara is currently Vice President Corporate Strategy and Head Agriculture and Allied Business at Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. He is a mechanical engineer with advanced diploma in business management and currently is a candidate for Accelerated Development Program, Chicago Booth Management School, USA.

He joined Kirloskar in 2012 and was responsible in transforming the Agriculture business. The key tasks involved reinventing the rural distribution network, creating a product development organization for end products. He is instrumental in Kirloskar foray into the farm mechanization space.  The focus is to provide productivity tools in the crop irrigation and mechanization space to enrich farmer lives. He is also responsible for corporate strategy at Kirloskar.

Before joining Kirloskar Oil Engines, he was with the Mahindra & Mahindra, where he was associated for over 16 years in various capacities. He had a successful stint in sales and then moved on to head Project “Samriddhi” which was initiated to move Mahindra beyond Tractors in Agriculture. He went on to head the application business in Mahindra’s Farm equipment sector and introduced several products into India through technology transfer and strategic alliances in the farm mechanization space.

He is a winner of Best Paper in the “ANQ Quality congress 2010” and received the citation from CMO- Asia as one of the top Rural Marketer of India in 2013-14,2015-16& 2016-17

Under his leadership Kirloskar Oil Engines won the award for the best integrated rural marketing strategy, Diesel pump set business won the Best Company award- 2014 from Frost & Sullivan, Award for Breakthrough Innovation from AIMA at the innovation practitioners summit 2015, CII industrial Innovation awards 201, the “India Good design Mark” awarded by Ministry of commerce and Industry, Government of India and more recently “Japan good design award” in Tokyo, Japan.
