Sri J.P. Sharaf was born on 25th April 1935 at Kanpur. 
Passed B.A. from Christ Church College.
After his graduation in 1955 he joined New Asiatic as Field Officer and was soon promoted as its Senior Branch Manager. 
In 1977 he resigned from Oriental Insurance Co. as its Assistant Divisional Manager and joined Life Insurance Corporation of India as a Professional Agent.
Just in 3 1/2 years he became the member of the Chairman’s Club which is the highest club membership in Life Insurance Corporation of India.
In 1983 he created a National record of being the first L.I.C. Agent to become the member of Million Dollar Round Table U.S.A. and he attended their Annual Meeting in June 1984 at Dallas,Texas USA .First time ,India’s Tri-Colour got a place along with 42 other countries flags in that convention hall of 6000 top International life Insurance Professionals.
Qualifying member for MDRT for more than 8 years.
