After nearly decades of journalism career, Srikala Bhashyam is an entrepreneur from the media. She is a practicing investment consultant but who also writes on the subject of personal finance. She is a columnist for some of the leading media groups such as the Times of India, The Hindu, MSN India, Cybermedia, Sify.com, to  name a few.

Srikala started her career as an investment analyst with Batlivala & Karani in 1989. Her love for business journalism made her move to media when she joined the Financial Express as reporter. Over the years, she has worked with various leading business publications such as the Hindu Businessline and her last stint was with The Times of India in Bangalore as special correspondent. During her journalism career, Srikala wrote on stock markets, banking, insurance, personal finance and corporate sector. In 2006, she decided to pursue her long cherished dream of entrepreneurship and teamed up with a friend to start an investment consulting firm,Consultants.

The firm manages wealth for over 100 families but Srikala has continued with her other interest, writing too. Her columns focus on explaining the nuances of money management to investors through the print and web medium. In Cybermedia group’s publication magazine, DARE, she gives insights into entrepreneurship in her column. Srikala did her B.com from MES College Bangalore and did her intermediate course at the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.
